“Bundu” means South Africa wild region: a remote sparsely inhabited area (slang ). Mid-20th century. Probably <> Shona bundo "grasslands".
Here’s what I received for entering the 65km Bundu Bash mountain bike race this past week. No messing with these good ol’ South African boys. Beer is as good a reward as any for spending 3 hours and 36 minutes with my butt being bounced in a saddle.
